Foods and a Poster

"Baby Bok Choy"
Watercolor

For Illustrating the Edible I had to design a seed packet for a food I was given. I wound up getting the baby bok choy. During class, I took a part the baby bok choy and set it in different kinds of positions, just to see what kind of shapes I could get. I then took a photograph of the set of shapes I liked most, and used that photo as my reference for a watercolor painting. Hmm, yep, this has yet to get critiqued so I might make changes later!

Edit (Oct. 27, 2011): Removed the text and decided to move it to the other side of the seed packet!

"Mexican Chopped Salad with Honey-Lime Dressing (Ingredients)"
Pastel

I also had to illustrate the ingredients of a recipe I was given for my Illustrating the Edible class. Kind of unhappy with parts of this, but I'm glad I was able to get out of my comfort zone and draw some things I don't normally draw.

"Young Playwrights Festival Poster"
Pencil, colored and designed in photoshop

For Professional Development I had to make a poster for the Young Playwrights Festival. I really wanted to draw a weird character, so that is what I did.

All I have for now... but I should have a thesis piece finished soon. Yep, goodbye!
